HOCR’24 Creative Proposal
This creative proposal outlines our concept to promote the Head of the Charles Rowing Regatta and its partners. With our experience in producing captivating event coverage and engaging social media content, we understand the importance of documenting the action and taking advantage of the momentum generated from this event. Our goal is to create same-day video content that not only captures the essence of the regatta but promotes your sponsors in real-time to reach a broader audience. Tandem is more than a vendor, we become part of your team. Acting as the main hub for all social media activities, we streamline communication, posting strategies, and audience engagement to ensure a cohesive and dynamic online experience.
Overview
Below are three distinct services we could provide for this year’s event. The social media management component serves as the linchpin, unifying various media efforts under one centralized team. This ensures a cohesive and fluid social media rollout throughout the event. The video offerings outlined below can be customized and refined to suit the event’s unique requirements.
Social Media Management
We'll collaborate closely with your team to develop a comprehensive social media strategy that unfolds seamlessly during the event. This includes scheduling key posts, liaising with all media teams to curate and share their content on social platforms, and providing real-time updates through stories and channels throughout the event. This setup enables us to swiftly communicate any real-time updates, emergency notices, or critical information that attendees need to receive promptly. Think of us as your dedicated HOCR social media arm throughout the entire duration.
Sponsorship Recap Content
We'll work with a select group of sponsors to produce and distribute same-day recap videos showcasing their involvement at the HOCR. These videos, spotlighting sponsors and their contributions, will be shareable on HOCR social channels and provided to sponsors for their own promotional purposes. This initiative not only strengthens sponsor relationships but also serves as compelling content for future sponsorship outreach efforts.
Spectator Recap Content
We're equipped to deliver same-day recap content tailored for spectators less acquainted with rowing. This content, integrated alongside rowing-focused material, will highlight the event's engaging activities such as food, drinks, live music, demonstrations, and shopping. Designed to resonate with Bostonians and entice them to explore the event, these videos aim to capture the vibrant atmosphere beyond the sport, enhancing the overall experience for attendees.

Case Study:
The Ocean Race 2023
Tandem partnered with Sail Newport to create and distribute same-day recap videos of the 2023 Newport Ocean Race Event, capturing unique experiences and leveraging social channels to maximize momentum and showcase the event effectively. To ensure the deliverables met Sail Newport's quality standards and expectations, we collaborated with them in the pre-production process, communicating to create pre-planned video examples, including music, themes, and the overall content style. Our team was present on-site throughout the entirety of the event, capturing important moments from open to close. We set up a temporary editing station on-site, enabling our videographers and editors to work efficiently and meet the deadline for deliverables. Tandem provided all the necessary gear and equipment for audio and video capture, and we worked together with Sail Newport to deliver the content to the appropriate channels. Our small yet effective team allowed flexibility in our plan, enabling us to capture unplanned moments during the live event. This workflow allowed us to successfully complete, deliver, and distribute the daily recaps at the end of each day.

Newport International Boatshow
The Newport International Boat Show brought us on to work with their sponsors and highlight them in a fun, bite-sized series called “Launch with Us.” Each day we shot, edited, and posted a video featuring important sponsors and their involvement in the show.
